- What camera shots are used?
At the start of the scene Kevin James walks up to a door and opens it, it uses match on action for when he turns the handle to get in on the outside to a long shot of him actually walking through the door to the inside. When he gets through the door it does a medium close up shot on his face to show that he looks sleepy but he is now there to work.
It then zooms out to show the whole room from a long shot and it establishs everyone in the room and what the room is like. From the audiences point of view they can see all the other people who work with Kevin James gathered round a table in a meeting and the audience meet the actress Amber Valletta who the actor Kevin James eventually falls in love with.
It then pans across the room till Kevin James is sitting down in his chair. It then goes back to a long shot to show that everyone is now here and they are all sitting round the big table with their client Amber Valletta. They all start to speak to each other taking it in turns to suggest something. When the conversation is filmed it used over the shoulder shots and shot reverse/shot.
The scene ends with all the workers trying to give Amber Valletta their pens beacuse she needs one to sign something, this is show from a medium shot getting the top half of their bodies in the shot. The shot concentrates on peoples facial expressions because they all really want her to take their pens beacuse they think she is beautiful. In the end Amber Valletta takes Kevin James pen.
In this scene the man props are the people pens other than that there are no significant props. The costume of the actors and actresses has been done so it looks natural and the men are just wearing typical office workers suits and their client is wearing casual/posh clothes which look designer, this shows she's wealthy.
The lighting has been done to look natural and it would not use any other extra lights other than the ones in the office. The only thing which has been done with the lighting is that the women is the most important and has a little bit more light on her.
This will also help me when I look at different camera shots/movements/angles/positions for my film.
