The musical score will change the mood and feel of the film and what is happening in the film. It is a subconscious change in mood for the audience.
For my film, I do not know weather or not to have a musical score because it could take away from the action on the screen. Also I want my film to naturalistic in all aspects and do not want music to affect it.The music in a film usually has been done to stick with the theme, if the music is too different to the theme it will look and sound strange.
The only sound in my film will be pre-recorded phone conversation between the character on screen and an off screen character. It will be done so that it is a voice over to what is happening on screen. Also pre-recorded sound will be used at the opening of the film with the sound of the main girl crying, this will be like a voice over as well. The recordings will be done using gargeband and will be added to the film when finished.
Any other sound will just be added to make it look more realistic or to make something standout, for example I used the sound effects of a ticking clock over the clip of the clock ticking away. The sound effects will be done using gargeband and then imported into the film.
